I think I have broken my hard drive. It is a 750gb samsung F1 SATA,and currently it dosn't want to work. When powered up it clicks loudly at roughly 1 second intervals before spinning down. It is not recognised by BIOS or by the Samsung ESTOOL DOS program. The thing is, I think I broke it myself. I tried changing the drives APM setting using HDDSCAN software, after which it started clicking and crashed the PC. Could this just be the setting is not allowed by the drive, and is there any way to either clear this setting from the drive (jumper?) or re-flash the firmware on the drive?

A clicking hard drive means it's most likely dead. RMA it if you can.

If the drive is still under warranty.... RMA it....
