hello every1,
This is my current system:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
ASUS A8NE
2 GB RAM.
XFX 8800GTS320MB
Antec EA-500W
17 CRT
Seagate 250GB SATA2

I plan to upgrade to
Intel E8500 or 8400 which should i go for?
ABit IP35-E
4GB Corsair Ram
with the XFX 8800GTS 320MB and the existing HDD
I also plan to take a new LCD:any suggestions on size:19inch or 22 inch.
The problem is the 19inches have a resolution of 1440*900 and the 22inch 1680*1050.
So will my new system be able to handle the 22 inch resolution.I plan to play Crysis and the other games like R6Vegas-2 which will be released in 2008?

Also rate my new build.

What you could try to do is get a 8400 and slightly overclock it. You'll essentially have a 8500 but for cheaper.

check reviews for the 8800GTS 320. You might be able to play at 1680*1050 on most games but not at high or sometimes med settings. For crysis, u'll prob have to drop ur res even lower.

Intel E8400 or Xeon E3110.
Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5 or ASUS P5E-X38. If you can afford X38, then just forget about P35.
4GB Corsair is good.
HIS X3850 or X3870 is enough in combination with a 19'' monitor, or you can also keep your 17'' CRT, a new monitor is not that important, at least for me.
Adding an extra HDD from Seagte 7200.11 500GB 32MB is not gonna to hurt you either.

------------------------------ Intel Q6600 @ 3.0GHz + ASUS P5E X38 +
4GB DDR2 1000 CL5 Mushkin + Coolermaster Dominator Xcalade 690 + Corsair VX 450W + HIS HD 3850 512MB Turbo + Seagate 500GB 7200rpm 32MB + Zalman CNPS 9700 LED + Logitec EX110 + ASUS VW198S.
