Moving on up from a 7800 GS... what now?

Hi all! New to the board here and was hoping to get some advice from you guys.

I'm looking at putting together a brand new system, upgrading from my old one where I am currently running a 7800 GS AGP card. With the 9800 GTX just released (Albeit not to rave reviews) and the 8800 GTS and 8800 GTX priced pretty well, I'm completely at a loss as to what card I should grab. With talks of another release around July, I'm almost tempted to hold off on my build until then. But that means holding off another 4 months and I'm really wanting to get this built ASAP.

So basically what it comes down to is what is going to be the best card for me. Unlike many of you guys, I'm not coming from an higher end 8 series card where the 9800 GTX really shows minimal gains in comparison. From my 7800 GS, any of these cards are going to be a big jump.

If I'm going to be gaming on a 24" LCD, hopefully around 1920x1200 or 1650x1050 and using AA & AF(depending on performance), what card for the money is the best option at this point?

9800 GTX - $330

8800 GTX - $290

8800 GTS 512 - $225

I appreciate any help as this is driving me nuts

I would get a 8800gts. 9800gtx isn't that much faster and 8800gtx raw performance is a little slower but better with AA.
