Does anyone know the difference between a Nvidia graphics card(totally built by Nvidia) and some other graphics card brand that has got a Nvidia graphics processing unit on it

which is better?

The difference is simple.

A Nvidia Card that is built by Nvidia is a refrence design. It has a plain design, and looks like any normal card. It is the standard card you would get.

A Nvidia Card that is built by a third party (which is what your second choice is), is made by another company and uses the same core. Normally, the design is nicer, and it is either underclocked, standard, or overclocked. It does not require a deafault fan. They vary in price by alot.

No... nvidia do not assemble any of their cards, if you have an 'nvidia' branded card then you most likely have an engineering sample of that card. They leave all the manufacturing to their partners (EVGA, XFX, MSI, etc...), there is usually no difference on them, because these are designs by nvidia that all must follow, the most differences you may find are versions with slight chances such as more memory or different cooler/clock speeds.

Usually they're built by one manufacturer like Foxconn using nVidia's reference design. When eVGA, BFG, and so on receive them, they slap their sticker on the fan shroud, put it in a box with whatever accessories and software they are using to make up their bundle and sell it as their own. These cards are not manufactured by the company themselves. These cards aren't similar, they are exactly the same because they are assembled in the same place.

Those cards that deviate from the reference design are designed by the company who's name it's being sold under. Usually these cards aren't manufactured by them directly either, again a company like Foxconn is building them to this spec for said company. Would you be surprised to know that a good chunk of motherboards and graphics cards are made by Foxconn? It's only been fairly recently (two years or so) that Foxconn has sold anything under their own name.
