I guess this is obvious enough, but please confirm. Does Tribes
Vengeance allow using a gamepad? Thanks in advance.

One day, while skipping through the forest, I heard the voice of John Doe
<jdoe@usenet.is.the.real.thing> coming from a tree, and thought, "Man, this
is f*ed up," but carried on the following conversation anyway:

whether or not it does is irrelevant. you shouldnt use one at all.

DEBig is trying to tell you in his charming manner that a gamepad really
will not give you the amount of control you can achieve with a mouse and
keyboard in this game. I have no clue if it would support it though as I
have never looked and it really does not come up. No one uses them, really.

That is pure speculation. Anyway, why should I or anyone else care
whether others use a gamepad.

I could care less, I am just telling you a gamepad will not give you the
degree of mobility you need to play this game successfully. You can
certainly choose to ignore that fact, which you obviously plan on doing. I
was offering some helpful advice. It certainly won't happen again.

All I was asking is whether it would function.

Does HALO allow you to slide or jump off of a pad and land way down on
the ground somewhere? Not sure I can give up that sort of experience
allowed in Tribes 2.

With a decent gamepad, you can assign keystrokes to each button and/or
direction, so it should work with any game that supports keyboard control.
