I've got a XFX 8800GT and was wondering if putting a VF700 would cool it down more than the stock cooler.

I'll take it off my older ATI card if you think it might be better?

Have any of you tried one of these on a 8800GT?

I would have thought it would be OK. This Gigabyte came with the vf-700F, so it can be done. But, there Seems to be alot of heat related stability issues mentioned in those reviews. Also not a great sign the card is deactivated.

edit: notice it has been replaced by a type B cooler. Doesn't sound like great success with the VF700.

Try the VF900, it handles the temps of the 8800GT pretty good for me. 40c idle, 57c load.
Too much heat for the VF700.

I already have the VF700. I found some articles about the VF700 and the 8800 GT and GTS and it seems to work. I'd love to hear some personal experiences with it on this forum.
