Does anyone know when the huge bulk stock of new chips is supposed to hit?
I mean jeez they built a whole new factory for these chips (1000 employees!!)
(Fab 32 is the warehouse name)
I'm almost considering just getting the Q9300... it seems like its almost 100 bucks cheaper at this point (or more) and prolly has no problems getting to 3.0 either, hell even 3.2
(gonna be using a Xigmatek HDT-S1286 cpu cooler) I think thats the model number, but you all know what i'm talking about
*edit* called my local MicroCenter (Tustin, CA)

You missed the $50 instant rebate last week. I got mine last Friday.
If you are a pure gamer I would really consider the E8400 or E8500 (when it's out). Most current games do not take advantage of dual core. The games that do take advantage do so poorly. SupCom is one of the few exceptions that I know of.
Total cost:
Newegg: $759.70 (I live in 1 of 3 states that gets tax from newegg CA, TN, and NJ) tax was $50
eBay: $410.94
Provantage: $111.70
CPU: $353
Grand Total= $1635.34
Now you can easily cut costs here by just buying the Q6600 (can find for $199 at microcenter.com or somewhere else). You also dont need that high of RAM and can find some cheaper if you go down to 800 mhz. Also you don't really need a sound card since most mobos come with onboard 5.1 sound (but RealTEK sucks ass). You can also get Vista 64 home instead of premium (and its about 10 bux cheaper if you get it without SP1). Also dont necessarily need a raptor, but I wanted one
Keep in mind that AoC retail *WILL* offer Multi-core support so a quadcore is a good thing!
*edit* lol if you cant tell this was my post on my guild's forums Thought i'd share my new joy with you all
