Black screen

Hello,
I have an A215-S7444 running W- Vista. I installed 4 gig RAM and now it wont boot (black screen w/ cursor) I tried putting the original RAM back with no difference. I do not have the repair option I've seen in many articles.

Remove the CMOS battery - wait a few seconds - reinsert it
