new to overclocking a intel i got a q6600 got it to 2.8 with fsb (only way to do it (foxconn m7vmx newwegg)
multiplier to 9, left voltage on auto and set dram frequency to 667 for a 1:1 ration
stock cooler
adata 2x1gig ram
at the moment the temps are

temp1(cpu) idle 31-33 full 46-48
temp2 motherboard idle 36-38 full 42-43
core 0 idle 35-38 full 56-58
core1 idle 32-34 full 51-53
core2 idle 36-38 full 54-56
core3 idle 32-34 full 52-54

are they ok temps are too hot at full load or
if ok whats the limit of full load temps i can go to

ty

how are you determining the load temps? Are you running prime95 small ffts to check for stability?

If those are the temps you get from stress testing then you are doing fine. Just as long as the temps stay bellow 75 in the stress test then you should be golden

i am using the small fft now with prime 95 for 30 mins and the
cpu =58
core0=67
core1=63
core2=66
core3=68

so if they stay like that over the next 4-6 hours will that be ok until i get better aftercooler

yea as long as they dont shoot up much higher they should be fine. However make sure to get an aftermarket cooler asap. It will greatly reduce temps and allow for higher overclocking

Cheers
