Hi all im from NZ, and I have NZ$1000 which is about US$550 for a gaming system, what do you giuys think about this system i have priced up for $955.
1 x Intel Pentium E2180 Dual Core 2.0Ghz LGA775 CPU with Fan and Heatsink
2 x 1GB DDR2-800 PC6400 SDRAM
1 x Asus P5Q SE Intel P45 Chipset LGA775 ATX Motherboard
1 x Western Digital Special 500GB SATA 7200RPM Hard Drive
2 x Hightech ATI HD3850 PCI-E 2.0 512MB 256-bit GDDR3, 668/1656MHz
1 x Creative SBS A200 2.1ch Speaker
1 x Asustek 52X CD-ROM Black Drive
The E5200 would be better, not sure if it would be worth the extra $40 for you
The Asus P5Q SE is a single GPU socket P45 motherboard, you would need the ASUS P5Q PRO for crossfire.
A single 4850 would give you better performance then 2 of the 3850s in crossfire and would be cheaper.
about 1280 X 1024, its a budget gaming system.
I also got this idea:
1 x ATX Midi-Tower Case With 420W PSU $49.00
2 x Adata 1GB DDR2-800 PC 6400 Memory $48.00
1 x Asustek DRW-2014S1T 20x SATA DVD Burner $34.17
1 x Intel Core 2 Duo processor E5200 2.5GHz 2Mb LGA775 Retail box $155.90
1 x Creative SBS A200 2.1ch Speaker Set. 2w RMS $27.63
1 x GIGABYTE EG31MF-S2 G31 FSB 1600Mhz DDR2 800 PCI-E x16 IEEE 1394a $119.00
1 x WESTERN DIGITAL 500GB SATAII 7200rpm GreenPower HDD $98.90
1 x Palit ATI Radeon HD4850 GDDR3 512MB PCIE2.0 $265.00
