Lexmark X6690 thunking spooler

I have a Lexmark X6690 printer and over the last few weeks it has been giving me spooler sub app messages but today it has just come up with this message - "thunking spooler APIS from 32 to 64 Process has stopped working" It is not printing now either. The computer has been running slow but until now I had not connected the two any ideas anyone?????

First, run the following:

Second run the following registry cleaner:

www.download.com/ccleaner (run the registry tool until there are no more errors)

Third, uninstall the printer drivers, reinstall the printer drivers.

See if that works.
