I never really got to try out Windows 8personally and youtube videos doesnt really say much about whether people should buy it for different purposes. It looks pretty cool but I heard it's pretty confusing to navigate around the layout. I also heard that its very fast on bootup. What do you think gamers? Should I just stick to Windows 7 or upgrade to windows 8?

For gaming, there's barely any difference between Windows 7 and 8. It's a question of general usage and what kind of UI you prefer.

been dual booting both

and have seen some people having problems with some stuff

but so far windows 8 has been perfectly ok for me

no problems with games i have played or with drivers

but still have windows 7 on a second hard drive just in case

and yes it can take a little while to learn to navigate windows 8

though if you want you can use free software like pokki to put the start button back to make life easier

Its a choice, no problem with 8 for me gaming, 8 currently is 7 with classic desktop installed. 8 fully supports dx 11 and 11.1, 7 only supports some features of dx11 and does not support dx11.1.
