I wanted to know if the Intel DP35DP motherboard allows overclocking, atleast from the BIOS, and atleast with basic quantities like FSB etc.

Another question. With respect to the Intel Q6600 and the E8500 CPUs, if I were to overclock only by increasing the FSB and not modifying anthing else, what would be "safe" clock speeds? 3? 3.2? more?

Intel MBs usually don't allow OCing, adjusting RAM voltage, etc.
OCing the q6600 and e8xxx CPUs will be different, as the e8xxx are made using Intel's new 45nm CPU design. Check out the excellent OCing guides here and on other forums.
