There must be a way to use canon lide 35 with vista64bit

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Don't look for 64 bit drivers just Vista drivers then install the package into the Progarm Files x86 folder. Did it come with a driver CD?

To install manually, first install the LIDE 60 Vista 64 drivers from the Canon website . Now connect your LIDE 35, then cancel the installation process. In the device manager, select the inactive LIDE 35 and choose to update the driver. Select "all available drivers", then point to the LIDE 60 drivers listed under Canon Inc.
