i'm looking at two BFG Tech OC'ed 8800GTX's, now heres my question one is $409 and the other $439 the most prominent difference seems to be a 25mhz core clock difference (600mhz vs. 625mhz) now to get to the point, is the extra 25mhz worth an extra 30 bucks?

absolutely not, just purchase the cheaper one and overclock it yourself, a very easy thing to do.

On a side note, I am sure that you can find the 8800GTX for cheaper these days. Those prices seem a little high, why not get two 8800GTS (G92) for SLI instead ? Very close performance for most likely 100-200 dollars cheaper.

Before you finalize your build, list out your proposed specs somewhere on this forum so somebodycan take a look at it and point out any discrepancies etc. that way you won't have any problems when you finally build it.
