ok, for one, why do you need the bluray burner? so expensive. 2: psu is way over what you need to power that system. you will also need a case, possibly OS, monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse, but if you already have them then thats ok...

as for overclocking, do you know how to overclock a P4 or core 2? if so, then i7 overclocking is apparently verrrry simple compared to core 2. pm roadrunner if you want to know specifics, he has already built and oc'd a rig... google before you do though, we don't want to bother him unnecessarily do we ;)

BR-ROM drives can be had for less than $100
Why not pick one up? It makes sense for us people who want a HTPC or to play 1080p content over the 360.

Yea I am a online poker player so I spend a lot of time at my computer and watch lots of movies and tv shows and the bluray was like 120 or something.

@laserpp

If you have any intentions of later getting a second GTX 260 to run in SLI, then you keep the power supply you've chosen.

increase the FSB in increments of 5 and test each time, if you are stable then increase again. run stress tests like memtest86 (from boot) and OCCT & prime95 from with in windows.

5? wtf. only if you're ocing within the windows environment... i go up in increments of 30 or so (200, 233, 266, 300,333,366,400) and drop the multi accordingly. higher fsb+lower multi=more performance than low fsb+higher multi - more RAM bandwidth :D

I never do it from within windows, always from within the BIOS the same goes for flashing the BIOS always from the BIOS. I have see some dodgyness from with in windows

I mean I use the asus ez flash utillity (on my mobo anyway) you go into the bios a select it and it reads the new bios of a usb drive and flashes it.
