E-Sata problem on ASUS P5K3 Deluxe

Hi, i tried connect 2 SATA II HDDisks on external e-Sata with 1m e-SATA to SATA cable, but
the jmicron driver on motherboard wont recognize anything ...

I dont know if its only a cable proble or something else. I set AHCI mode too, but nothing ...
Snarkoon 1m cable was used ..

Had someone else following issue ?

do you have the drives plugged into a power source to power the drives?
