I think the only ones that currently have rather limited viewing angle are
RP CRT. Plasma, LCD, and RP or FP LCD/DLP are all brighter and can be
viewed from broader angles.

is visible from all angles.

A visit to a big-box retailer, staring at all the sets while
moving yourself up, down and sideways will give you
an excellent idea of what you would see. For my taste,
all projection sets I've seen are bad, plasma is good,
I'm still deciding about direct-view liquid crystal. But
again, some actual looking can be worth the
equivalent number of thousands of words of
other people's criticism.
