Title says it all...

I suppose I could go with 8gb's of 1066........

Only reason I would is for superfetch... I dont do any video stuff, yet... been wanting to make a small video using pictures and sound and a vid clip, but I dont have a program for it.....

But otherwise, general home stuff and gaming..

General home stuff can be done with <2GB, and gaming with 2-4GB. The performance difference due to the speed will probably be 1-1.5FPS at the most, but Sandra bandwidth benchmarks will be flying ahead of DDR2-800 if that's what you are in to :pt1cable: I'd be going with 4GB DDR2-800 myself unless the price is real close or you intend to overclock quite a bit.

Also what OS are you using, cause windows 32 can only uses 4 gigs of ram. Once upon a time i made the mistake of trying to put 8 gigs in it....such a waste of money

Yeah 32 bit systems can only generally address 4gb. Its actually less for some long technical reason so you'll end up with about 3.5gb. So if your planning on running xp there's absolutely no point in getting 8.
