hi. i do a lot of work with hdtv recordings, editing and encoding of said videos. very rarely do i do any gaming. if i do its likely card games. i'd like to keep the cost down but could spend up to $200. i don't know much about the ati lineup of cards to know which is better for me to get. i do know i want to go with ati and not nvidia. i currently have a msi k9a2 platinum mb and amd phenom 9500 with 4g ram running vista. i mostly use this pc as my home media/file server. another pc is the one actually recording all the shows.

you should be have no problem if u want to use the card as editing video, etc. but if use 3d application like sketchup, 3d-max, DONT USE ATI GRAPHIC CARD! especially sketchup.. its running really slow with my hd 2600 pro.. :fou: then i borrow my friend's NVIDIA 7300 gt and i think its x10 times more speed using it than mine. Tag it at google and many got the same problem. ATI is just best for GAMES.
