Windows XP Installable on this pc with USB?

So Will I be able to install XP with a USB stick using this configuation? I need to lose the 20 dollars on the Optical Drive or and I can't buy this at all...im maxed out on my budget.

Well I don't really want to do rebates either and I dont need the optical drive....just wondering about this usb xp installation thing.

Yes, it's possible to install Window XP from a USB flash drive, as long as the motherboard you are buying has support to boot from USB, which most motherboards nowadays do.

And ther wont be a probable with a motherboard and HDD that have never been used before right?

I don't see why there would be. I have a USB XP install that I've used a few times on new builds and had no problems.

Cause from there I will go to Windows 7, seeing as how I don't have a usb stick bigger than 4 gb.
