XP HOME RELOADING

Hello,
When I formatted HD and reloaded thought everything fine till I went to create short cuts on Desktop then the wheels fell off either left or right mouse click it deleated then one right after the other????? anyone offer suggestions as to problem? bennywooten@bellsouth.net

so you click on the shortcuts and it just deletes the shortcuts?

Don't go near the recycle bin for now.
Get another mouse. If it works, go to the recycle bin and restore everything that was deleted.
