GA-EP35-DS3L + E8400?

Very angry at the fact that my BIOS updated (to 1.6) MSI P6N SLI Platinum will not POST with an E8400, I will need a new board. This one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128337 apparentally will work out of the box with an E8400. Is this a good basic board?

Have you cleared cmos on the MSI? For some boards, clear cmos & load defaults prior to flashing bios. i.e. 680i. Or the board may not post at all.

Yup, the DS3L is a good budget overclocker.

very good. Should hold me over until Nahelem.

And I already tried everything, including the CMOS. I think that switch is faulty too, everytime I reset it it gives me an error. I RMA'ed it.

And the EP35 has already been ordered.
