Is it okay to mix and match two different brands together?

I have (2) Kingston DDR2 Ram's. And I wanted to purchase maybe GSkills ram.

Can I use both brands for my motherboard?

IMO, for general usage, short answer is yes. I use 2x 512MB Apacer, 1x 1GB Patriot and 1x 1GB Kingston memory...All seems fine...but if you intend to overclock, possible constraints may come from some memory (different timings, overclockability etc)

I have Geil and Corsair installed in my domain controller and dont have a problem, but if you are looking to overclock adjust timing and voltages then youll really want the same stuff
