I am looking into building a completely new pc and i was just wondering what you guys think would be the minimum specs needed to run Crysis with very high dx10 settings on a 720p lcd?
The components I am looking for is the CPU and Graphics Card's.
The rest I already have picked out and I am willing to overclock.
I don't want either component to bottle neck the other.
Thanks

very high?

A Intel dual core and you might need a sli setup. Maybe 2 9600gt.

I'd say an E6750 should suffice on the CPU front.

As for the graphics card(s), you'll probably need a minimum of a pair of 8800GTs in SLI to get Very High DX10 to run smooth at 720p. My single 8800GT and E6750 overclocked to 3.2GHz allows me to play through some parts of the game on very high 720p, but most of the time I have to settle for high to keep things playable.

And in case you were wondering, there is a BIG difference in my opinion between high and very high. Namely, object based motion blurring. It might sound stupid, but things look a lot more "real" when OBMB is on.

And at 720P you may (I would) want 2xaa minimum. Without dual GPU's that probably won't happen.

lol even with dual GPU's that won't happen on very high. I say pick your settings you want on very high, and put the rest on high or medium. You can actually make a very nice setup with a mix of medium high and very high. Just play with it and see what you like the best.

720p is low res. With dual G92 cards he should be able to play very high and I'd think 2xaa/8xaf.
