Hi,
I have a sony notebook model VGN-CS230J. and also os XP Pro SP3.
the wireless driver (intel wifi link 510 agn) has been installed but when I go to network connections, and click on "view available wireless network" it says "No Wireless networks were found in range".
can help me?
I have Vista also on this notebook and the wireless works fine in that. any idea?

Have a look at the Sony support site and identify the device for certain, look for a newer driver for the wireless adapter -- then see if there's an even later one at the Intel site.

You might also check that the settings for the adapter are not restricting what it can connect to -- if say the adapter is set to "wireless mode g only" and your router is set to "wireless mode g&b".

Check device manger. Go to control panel, system, advanced, then device manager. Check under network devices, and find your wireless card, go to properties. I just had this problem on a dell the other day, the driver actually had a setting that had turned off the wireless card.
