Hey there

Well basically I am upgrading my computer, it is a HP Pavilion a1429.uk model. I have ordered the components and received them today but the motherboard I ordered is a Micro-ATX one whereas the one currently in the PC (a stock Asus one made specifically for this computer) says it is an ATX one. Does anyone know if Micro-ATX motherboards will fit into a HP Pavilion case or not?

Thanks for your help and time.

As far as I know, all retail computers like Gateway, HP, etc use MicroATX MB's. That is so they can keep the cases smaller (and cheaper).

Anyway, go for the new 780 G chipset if you can. I recommend Gigabyte or Sapphire as they seem to be able to to hand the 125 W CPU's better.

Most likely so. Get this to list your mobo make & model so we can be sure:
