Any suggestions for a CPU cooler? Intel i7 920 on GIGA GA-EX58-EXTREME

Just looking for a nice cooler for a mild overclock on the Intel i7 920 with the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-EXTREME Mobo. I am aiming to get around 3.8Ghz. The case, Antec 900, is a bit on the small side so I think the Cooler Master V8 is out of the question...Too bad because, from my research, the V8 out performs the TRUE and the Thermalright Ultra 120.

Any ideas?

You posted socket 775, and he needs socket 1366. You are not allowed to post anymore.

I'm not so sure about that Roadrunner, I believe there are conversion kits out there for 775 to 1366 which would work on some heatsinks. But as far as the backplate is concerned yeah it won't work.

Looks like the V8 is pretty loud on HIGH anyway...I really want to keep this computer running quite and fast. I will be sleeping right next to this beast.

Well there is but not many and not for that particular cooler. If there was I would have it.

the cooler master 212 is nowhere near the TRUE and it cannot handle a 3.8Ghz OC of the 920i.

and apparantly even if 920i OC to 4Ghz and compare to 965i it will still be slower then 965i is that true?

965i has a unlocked multi and a few extra bios options but 4.0 vs 4.0 one aint any faster then the other.

I ended up ordering the Cooler Master V8 and the bracket for 1366. Good reviews and it is supposed to be right up there with the TRUE setups...even getting better temps in most cases. Hope I run cool, quiet and fast...and hope this beast fits in my Antec 900 once I remove the side fan.
