HELP! Messed somthing up!

Was thinking about OC'ing my new Q6600 (680i LT sli mobo) when I tried prime 95 to test the stock system. Restarted the computer and it hangs for almost 2 min in the windows DOS window that has the F2 & F10 prompts. Tried resetting the mobo by removing the battery..... still does it. Loaded the latest greatest bios for it....still takes for ever to get started. once up and running everything is normal. Did I F*** somthing up by running prime? HELP! Thanks! Tim

2 weeks old and IM looking for a new mobo..... Why did I not read about this before buying? Dodo. Well.... I guess the whole thing overheated with the pre OC test....and I have a tail full of cooling in there with extra fans and vents....... thankfully it's running fine this morning. Guess that pretty well counts out overclocking this baby.
Thinking about getting a 700 series nvidia mobo and maybe getting a faster quad to go with it.
How difficult is it to replace the mobo...besides un-plugging everything? THANKS Tim
