Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk

I'm trying to move some files from my C drive, to an external hard drive. I managed to move some, but then i encountered some files that kept popping up errors that said, "Cannot read from the source file or disk." What is causing the problem, and is there a program or way to let me move the files?

And i did a chkdsk yet it did not work, please how can i solve this problem, because i have some important file in the drive, help me please.

The drive may be bad. Can you try to copy those files just to another location on the C: drive?
