Are all AMD socket 754 CPU's the same?

Help please....

I have an old laptop, Averatec 5400 XP-M with a 2800 xp-m chip

It is recognized as a Dublin core based on 130 nm tech socket 754

I run SIW and it says that the max speed allowed is 2500 Ghz, and I'm thinking that I'll drop in an old Clawhammer 754 3200+ 2200 Ghz

Cpu -z says mobile amd athlon xp-m 2800+
Socket 754


Will this work or jus fcuk up my laptop?

No, mobile chips and desktop chips have vastly different power and cooling situations. Upgrading a laptop processor is not recommended unless you can afford to buy a new laptop after your "experimenting" goes bad.

I think the new cpu would use too much power for the laptop to handle, even if it worked it would be bloody hot.
