Well I bought an i7. Which ment I had to get a new MB and new RAM

I got a 920 2.66 Ghz i7. An Asus P6T Deluxe MB. and triple channel 3X2 gigs of 1600 Mhz Patriot DDR3 RAM.

I didn't feel like spending over 80 bucks on a cooler at this time since I just spent a bunch of money on the 3 things. So I just moded the Stock Heat sink with a better fan and some good thermal paste.

After messing with multipliers and voltage I was able to get a nice Over Clock

http://www.fursuityiff.us/noblepro/234/6546.jpg

I pushed the CPU up to 4.1 Ghz and the Ram to 1.726 Ghz

The CPU running at 1.35 Volts VS stock voltage, Multiplier at 19 and a bus speed of 216
and the RAM running at 1.7 Volts compared to stock voltage of 1.65

Temp is running at 40 Idle and 58 on MAX load.
not a bad over clock if you ask me.

I dont know what you call max load, but 58 on prime or similar I dont think so, your stock cooler must be lots better then mine. And mine is on right.

Lets see a screen of prime95 CPU-Z and temps running together.

LoL. Nice try. Wow a screen shot of prime95 as soon as it started with temps climbing.

Noob. Quit trying to be cool and lying about your lame overclock. No one really cares anyways.

Lets see a prime95 screen 8 hours with temps nd cpu-z all on the same screen.

We both no better then that. Your prime will either fail or your CPU will burn.

I just started that version of speed fan while running Prime and it said
Found Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
My Q6600 is running at 3.2 (400x8). The reason I started it with Prime running was to be sure my processor would be loaded and running at 3.2G when it was started because I have C1E enabled. In other words, that reading can't be trusted. I'm not sure whether the Speed Fan core temp readings can be trusted either. That's why I specified and linked Core Temp, although I haven't looked at their accuracy very closely. They say it's accurate on the i7 and I trust them. Speed Fan may be accurate for the i7 as well, I haven't looked.
