the ati has higest clock higest stream processors

only games i play eq eq 2 wow

You can not compare clock speeds, stream processors, or anything like that between 2 totally different cards with totally different architecture. The 9600 GT will run about neck and neck with the 3870 and the other cards will beat it's performance.

I have both cards. The Saphire 3870 is currently in a 939 system (to evolve into Phenom B2 9600 BE later today), the 8800gt in a 5000+ BE system. The 8800gt (Gainward golden sample rocks) is marginally faster. Xfire yeilds better results than SLi. Hook or by crook as they say, neither card will let you down, they're all top performers. If your board supports Xfire then the 3870 is a no brainer. Marry with 3870 X2 down the track for tri-Fire.
