I want to reinstall xp on my hard drive today but I wasnt really sure what I would need to do to get back online. I have also have a linksys router and I wasnt sure if that would affect anything.

You plug in network cable to newly installed XP box. Turn on and/or reset the router if need to.

None of that should be effected with a Windows dump - if so ensure you have mobo or PC disks with motherboard NIC drivers.
