I restored my laptop to the Factory Setting (as I thought). I now find that I cannot access any of my pen drives and an external hard drive. I saved my files and programs on Toshiba Recovery disks, but I can’t get these to work.
The laptop seems to work mostly, there are also some back up files on an external hard drive, how can I restore these?

Sounds like your USB ports may not be working at all... do you have anything else plugged in to confirm they're functioning? Have you installed all your drivers?
