No audio in my Gigabyte 8i845gvm-rz

Hello everyone:

I have a problem with my Gigabyte 8i845gvm-rz. I installed the audio drivers (latest version) and I have no audio. In the Device manager everything is ok.
Any help?

Are there any other audio devices installed, possibly even a modem? Check in Control Panel for additional audio devices. Make sure the one you want to use is selected.

Hi, thanks for ur reply. I don´t have any other sound devices installed, and the one I want it's selected as my default device.

Try different speakers. Check the volume in the task bar or control panel.
I guess the sound is enabled in the bios.
Are you plugging in the front of the computer or the rear?

Jtt283, u know, someone told me that using a jumper somewhere in the motherboard u can fix the problem, but I don't remember where exactly. Do u know something about it?

I already tried different speakers and headphones evongugg, the volume is also ok, and the sound is enable in the bios.
I'm plugging in the rear.

If you plugged in the front audio plug in the motherboard, did you use the HD Audio or AC'97 plug?
If you plugged in the AC'97, that could be a reason for no sound.
If you didn't plug it in, normally there would be 2 jumpers on it not to be removed.
