EEC RAM on non-EEC mobo ok?

Dang that's a lot of acronyms!

I stupidly ordered EEC RAM for my mobo that doesn't 'support' EEC. Read on some forum that it might work anyway, the EEC-ing will just be ignored. Does anyone know if that's true?

It should work, but using ECC ram on Non Ecc board is just a waste of money.

Thanks much - I got it for a reasonable price so it's all good. Maybe I'll use it on an EEC mobo down the road...

its ECC i think youll find (error correction code)

I wouldnt know for sure but id tend to agree that it will just work
