Doing a new build with a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P and E8400. I really don't like the memory on the approved list. Does anyone have any experience with other memory and this board?

Crucial is known to cause issues. I haven't used it on any builds myself or for my friends.
In general Corsair, Geil, Kingston, Mushkin kits work flawlessly.
I use a Geil kit myself (GA-P35-DS3P rev 1.0 without DES).

Crucial Ballistix BL2KIT12864AA804 is on the memory support list. There's no need to buy any RAM. These will work great.

But if you must, I would get CORSAIR XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400C4
$31.00 after mail in rebate.

I'd use the Crucial Ballistix.

i'll buy one of these motherboards myself.

i have doubts on the memories to buy, though. regarding the store, i am limited to the following sticks:

- CORSAIR KIT 2GB (2X 1GB) DDR2 800 XMS2 DHX (CL4)
- GSKILL KIT 2GB DDR2 800 HK
- OCZ KIT 2GB DDR2 800MHZ PLATINUM REV2
- OCZ KIT 2GB DDR2 800MHZ XTC TITANIUM (CL4)
- GEIL Ultra DDR2 2x1GB PC6400 Cas4

what do you suggest?
i am looking for the best stability and lowest temperatures (i live in a warm place).
please rank them or select a top 2 in case i run into stock problems.

many thanks!

All of the above are good picks. Corsair(1st) and Geil(2nd) are my favourites. If you want 4GB go for Corsair DHX C4 (~95 EUR here).

tks, i really needed some help here.
plus i've seen some people mention some OCZ compatiblity issues, so i'll stick with corsair.
