I'm having posting issues w/ my Asus board.. I'd like to RMA however I don't want to receive this same board back from Asus or even the same model.

It also hasn't proven to be the best overclocker, so I'd like a different model.. Not sure if I should just buy a new board or take my chances with the RMA & getting a new board from Asus.

What are the chances that they will send me a newer model? Anybody RMA boards with Asus before?

Thanks

The chances of you getting the same model back from a RMA @ ASUS are close to 100%.

I RMA'd a discontinued board that was still in warranty. I got the exact model back. The service was great however.

Like Knotknut said, more than likely they are going to send you back the same type of board. It would be very rare that when you RMA something you will get a newermodel (at least with my experience with RMA's). Its better to buy a newer board and rma that one you have and see if you can find a buyer for that one on ebay to cover part of the cost of the newer board (if you do be sure to state its an rma board).

Thanks for the replies.. I'm going to purchase "XFX MB-N780-ISH9 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI Intel Motherboard" for a replacement and then RMA the board and sell the Asus after it comes back.

Sorry but cant work out how to start a new thread

will the Asus P5N32-E sli NForce 680 support 2 x Nvidia 9800 gx2 or would one need a 780 series Asus - perhaps Asus P5N-T Deluxe nForce 780i

I may be wrong but heard that PCI-E 2.0 hardware (these GPUs) are backward compatible and would be
