Hey guys...

I haven't seen any threads yet on compability of the new 9800 GX2 with my mobo. So first question will this card work in my motherboard?? ( Asus P5W DH Deluxe i975X Chipset ). And 2nd does it matter that my motherboard is probably only a PCI Express 1.0 motherboard and what kind of penalty if any will result in the slower interface. I'm dying to buy this card but don't want to waste 650.00 bucks and find out that it doesn't work in my rig...

Thanks for all replies!!!!

Dave

I have the same board, and normally I don't recommend the GX2 to anyone however..... Since you and I both have intel chipsets we do not have the option of SLI 8800GT/GTS's. So really the GX2 is your best option if you are looking for top notch graphics.

I have the P5W DH Deluxe, and I bought a PNY 9800GTX OC. Unfortunately, it did not work, nor in my other A8N32-SLI. I'm not sure how you're video card will fare though. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Good luck.
