I have copied a file to a rewritable CD that I have written myself. The attributes of the CD turned up as read only. I may need to make changes to this file on CD. How do I change the attributes of the CD? I am using Windows XP.

You probably finalized the disk instead of leaving it open.
I would copy the file to your hard drive and see if you can reformat the CD so its rewritable.
