I built a system for my sister six months ago. It's now having problem POSTing. When they turn it on, the power supply will start the POST (lights come on etc) but there's no BEEP when POST is complete. If you do this 3, 4, 5, 6 times, it will eventually POST and everything is then fine.
I thought it was the power supply and replaced with a fresh one but I see the same behavior. Any ideas beyond yanking each thing out in order?
The system is:
GIGABYTE GA-P35-S3L LGA 775 Intel P35
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 Conroe
EVGA 8500GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR2
Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066
WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA
Antec earthwatts EA430 ATX12V v2.0
COOLER MASTER Centurion ATX Mid Tower Case
LG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner Model GSA-H54NK
