Can you recommend a graphics card for me? I want to drive 2 Samsung 245BW's (DVI) at 1920x1200 for a combined desktop in Windows XP of 3840x1200. I have an Asus Rampage (2 PCIe 2.0 x16 slots). One of my main uses will be to vnc onto my work desktop which is also 3840x1200. We use the HP NVIDIA Quadro NVS 285 Video Card (128mb) for the pc's at work, and I can get one of cards for my new pc. Just wondered if there were alternate cards to consider. Besides business graphics, I do video editing and general computer use. No gaming really. Thanks for your advise!

Anything in the mid-range of the GeForce 8 or HD 2000/3000 cards will do you fine. My advice to you is to at least get a card with 512 MB of video ram, and probably more towards GDDR3. Even in Windows XP, video editing will benefit from the extra memory and power. Normally, 256 MB would be fine. However, with that resolution, I'd recommend 512 MB to be on the safe side.
