Changed the name on my computer login and lost i.tunes music files

Hello,
I have windows Vista, and changed the name of my adminstrator account. I now have over 900 songs in my i.tunes that when I try to play, say the file can't be located. How can I recover those songs that were added on the computer before the admin name was changed?

Give this a try.

When you change your user account name through "User Accounts" in the Control Panel, it only changes the name that is display at log on and in the Start Menu. It will not change the C:\Users\(User-name) folder's original name.

The only way to do this is to create a new account of the same type (administrator or standard), copy the files in all of your old account's C:\Users\(User-name) folder into the corresponding new account's C:\Users\(User-name) folders. After everything checks out ok in the new account, you can then delete the old account from within the new one.
