Hi Guys,

I have just ordered a customized PC

Asus Maximus Extreme iX38 LGA775
2Gb (2X1Gb) Standard PC8500 DDR3 Memory
512MB BFG PCI-Express 9800GTX VGA Card
500Gb 7200rpm - Seagate PATA Hard Disk
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66 GHz 1333MHz 12MB L2 Cache

Now everything works perfect until I install the Mainboard drivers.
I have tried Vista x32 and Vista x64 and still the same.

As soon as I install the drivers the PC goes crazy - restarting, window to boot in safe mode keeps coming up and when instaling something keeps slowing down.

Can anyone help me tackle the problem please?

Thanks

See if you can get away with just installing the network driver so you can connect to the internet and get the latest drivers for your mobo from the mfgr website.

If you have another pc, use it and download them and burn to a cd and install from there. It would probably be better to reinstall windows to clear the system of any rogue files.

Also, be sure to remove any unneeded hardware such as sound cards, tv capture cards or any other add on cards that your system can startup without. This should take any unecessary problems out of the picture and hopefully let you get windows fully setup and running.

If that doesnt work then if you have another disk drive to install windows and the drivers with then try that. Sometimes certain drives dont install well.
