Hi

I have a big problem....CPU temperature gets over 80 degrees celsius and pc shuts down.......I just reinstalled windows and it's the same. I removed the CPU and cooler out......I've checked them  :D .....I put them back inside but no results.

CPU Athlon 64 X2 4800+
MB Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4, nForce 570SLI, S-AM2

I also removed one of the video cards, but still the same. Can someone please tell me what to do?

When you reinstalled the cpu heatsink did you clean of the old thermal paste with rubbing alcohol  and apply fresh thermal paste?

When did this start happening?  Is it a brand new build?  Or just a new processor?

Is it Overclocked any?  If so do you have an aftermarket heatsink?
