VGA no signal from PC to TV

Hello,
I have a VGA cable to connect my PC to my TV. When I connect the cable I get the message that there is no signal. When I turn on my pc I do get a signal I can see the system connecting but after that I get the no signal message. I worked fine yestrerday in the morning and then in the afternoon it refused to connect.

perhaps your desktop resolution is too high for your tv to handle?
