Hi i'm having trouble overclocking my FSB on my Asus p5k-vm G33 motherboard.
My E2180 is currently running at 3.25Ghz@325bus.
I tried reducing the multiplier to 8x and the bus to 400 and it won't post.
I played around and it doesn't seem to post at any bus higher than 340.
Is this a problem with my CPU or the Chipset?
I ask because i'm going to upgrade soon but if i an't get the bus past 340 it might not be worth upgrading as i won;t be able to get a speed higher than 3.4Ghz
Extra info: i have 1066DDR2 and made sure this was at a lower setting than rated after saving the bios settings
