I'm trying to build a new system
and the specs is :
CPU: Intel Core 2 duo E6550 2.33 GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EP35C-DS3R
VGA: Club 3D ATI Radeon 3850
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB
RAM: Corsair XMS2 DHX 2048MB Dual Channel PC6400 DDR2 800MHz
PSU:any 500w real power
is that mobo that i mentioned good or these mobos?
Abit IP35 Pro
DFI LANPARTY LT P35-T2R

For the CPU the E6750 is a scorcher of a CPU for about the same price as the E6550..so get THAT if you can

For the GPU i suggest the Nvidia 9600GT...its quite faster than the Radeon 3850 for abt the same price

The Gigabyte mobo is quite good.

For the PSU , Corsair 550VX would be excellent.

No, DX10.1 is not important right now or in the near future. If the 8800GT is the same price then get that, it is a significant bit better than 3850.

^ As he said. Get the 8800GT.

pretty good but it depends on what you intend on doing with the computer

are you considering any overclocking ?

as for the motherboard, I'd rather go for a Asus P5K Pro
or at least check taht the P35 DS3R is one of the latest generations , the first ones had an uncontrolled and random reboot problem
