Trying to uninstall program getting error code 0x80070002

I did a System Restore on our PC but it took us back to a time when we had the old security on our computer. Now, when trying to Uninstall it, I get the above error code & it won't uninstall.
Now, we don't have use of the old security & can't install our new security!

How do I get past this error code to uninstall the old program?

Try the MS Fixit site to correct install / uninstall errors.
